Appapada Fire Relief Initiative | Inner Wheel Club of Borivli
On 26 March 2023, Inner Wheel Club of Borivli extended immediate support to families affected by the devastating fire at Appapada, Malad East, where more than 800 hutments were destroyed, leaving many families in urgent need of basic necessities.
Recognizing the critical situation, the club committed to providing 30 comprehensive grocery relief kits to support the affected families during this challenging time. Each kit was thoughtfully assembled with essential food items and daily-use supplies to ensure immediate relief and sustenance.
Relief Kit Included:
- Rice (10 kg)
- Atta (10 kg)
- Dal (2 kg)
- Cooking Oil (1 L)
- Salt (1 kg)
- Chilli Powder, Turmeric, Coriander, Jeera
- Sugar (2 kg)
- Tea Leaves
- Onion (5 kg) & Potato (5 kg)
- Broom
- Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
- Bathing Soaps & Washing Soaps
- Bucket & Mug
The total value of the initiative was ₹52,500, reflecting the club’s strong commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare.
