Girls’ Toilet Block Inauguration at Dahanu Ashram School | Inner Wheel Club of Borivli
On 15 June 2023, Inner Wheel Club of Borivli successfully completed a significant infrastructure and sanitation project with the inauguration of girls’ toilet blocks at Dahanu Ashram School. This initiative aimed to provide safe, hygienic, and accessible sanitation facilities for girl students, thereby supporting their education, health, and overall well-being.
The project was made possible through CSR funding from Dynamic Prestress India Pvt Ltd, whose generous contribution enabled the construction of well-designed toilet blocks ensuring privacy, comfort, and dignity for the students.
The inauguration ceremony was a memorable occasion attended by distinguished dignitaries including:
- Mita Sheth
- Prerana Raichur
- Mona Gyani
- Sonal Chandarana
Additionally, members from neighboring clubs, school authorities, parents, and teachers were present to witness this impactful initiative. Around 30 members from Inner Wheel Club of Borivli participated, marking one of the highest attendances for a project.
The day began with a meeting at Tirumala, followed by breakfast at Lodha Dham, where members shared moments of fellowship. The inauguration took place at 10:40 AM, coinciding with the reopening day of the school. Students warmly welcomed guests with beautiful rangoli decorations, adding cultural charm to the event.
The school authorities expressed their gratitude by honoring the district dignitaries, club President Jigna Mistry, and Secretary Jaynisha Sampat for their valuable contribution to the project.
Further extending the day’s activities, members also attended the inauguration of a bus stop at Palghar organized by Inner Wheel Club of Palghar. The group later shared a meal at Anand Vrudh Ashram, strengthening bonds of fellowship.
Special thanks were extended to PP Hemalataben Panchal for connecting and facilitating this project. The journey was filled with joy and camaraderie, with members enjoying activities like Antakshari during travel.
This project stands as a testament to the club’s commitment to improving sanitation infrastructure and empowering girls through better facilities. The efforts of all members have created a lasting impact that will benefit the students and the school community for years to come.
