On 18th January 2023, the Inner Wheel Club of Borivli organized a picnic combined with the 6th GBM Meeting at Eco Govardhan Village, Wada. The day started at 6:30 AM from Chetna Shinde Bunglow, with Rtn. Dr. Dharmaji Shinde, PDG Prafulji Sharma, and PP Nitinbhai Majithia accompanying and cheering the members.

Morning Activities:

  • Morning Antakshari was played on the bus, setting the tone for a fun-filled day.

  • Breakfast was served at Mahaveer Dham, followed by a visit to the Jain Temple for blessings.

Temple Tour & Religious Activities:

  • Arrived at Eco Govardhan Village at 9:30 AM.

  • Visited various temples dedicated to Lord Krishna, guided by an expert narrating the stories of Gokul, Vrindavan, and Mathura and importance of reading Bhagwad Gita.

  • Members chanted Hare Krishna Hare Rama and performed Garba, joined by other visitors.

  • Treasurer Sonal Davda and Jalpa Rawal led devotional songs for Krishna and Vithoba.

  • Conducted Girirajji Parikrama on Ekadashi, seeking divine blessings.

Lunch & Break:

  • Enjoyed a traditional fasting meal in steel thalis, seated on the ground, emphasizing no food wastage.

  • Short afternoon break with naps and laughter under trees.

6th GBM Meeting:

  • District projects were highlighted by President Jigna Mistry, ISO Mona Gyani, and ZC Sonal Chandarana (Bharat Ke Veer summary).

  • PP Meena Kaku presented the Vote of Thanks.

  • The club recorded the maximum participation from Zone 3.

Fun & Fellowship Activities:

  • Played Snakes & Ladder with couples performing Nagin Dance at every snake bite.

  • Members enjoyed organic tea/coffee, visited Gau Shala feeding cows with ladoos and grass.

  • Explored the village, purchased natural products, vegetables, pulses, pickles, and enjoyed traditional Theplas with haldi pickle, sandwiches, aloo tikki, chikkis, and more.

Evening & Departure:

  • Group photo at 5:30 PM and departure by bus.

  • Snacks like oranges, juices, chocolates, chikkis, Makhana, chana, peanuts were served during the journey, recreating the feeling of a train ride.

  • Members made fun reels capturing the memorable moments of the day.
