As part of Senior Citizen Week celebrations, the Inner Wheel Club of Borivli organized a heartwarming service initiative on 20 August 2022 at Maru Ghar, a home for senior citizens. The project was led by our dedicated member Mona Joshi, who was accompanied by her 35 students, making the experience even more special and meaningful.
During the visit, groceries and a cash donation were generously contributed to support the daily needs of the residents of Maru Ghar. Beyond material support, the group spent quality time with the senior citizens—dancing, singing, sharing conversations, and spreading laughter. The warmth, affection, and companionship shared during these moments created memories that both the students and the senior citizens will cherish forever.
The joy on the faces of the elderly residents was truly priceless. Their smiles doubled the happiness of everyone involved, beautifully reinforcing the belief that human connection and care are as important as any donation.

“The great thing about getting older is that you get a chance to tell the people in your life who matter what they mean to you.”
