On 21 August 2022, marking Senior Citizens Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Borivli, in joint collaboration with the Rotary Club of Borivli, celebrated this special day with immense warmth and compassion at the Mataji Health Care Foundation, located at Sector 1 and Sector 5, Charkop, Kandivali (West).
The celebration was filled with love, care, and joy as members gifted clothes to the senior residents and lovingly groomed the dadi’s and nani’s by applying nail paint and presenting them with personal grooming articles. The club also sponsored lunch for all the residents, ensuring not just comfort but also a sense of belonging and appreciation.
Adding to the festive spirit, members spent quality time singing songs, dancing, and interacting with the senior citizens. The laughter, smiles, and emotional moments shared during the morning made the experience truly memorable for everyone involved.
The celebration reaffirmed the belief that age is only a number, and that love, enthusiasm, and companionship keep the soul young. The Inner Wheel Club of Borivli remains committed to serving and uplifting senior citizens with dignity and respect.
As part of the club’s ongoing Senior Citizen Week projects, we will also be donating groceries at Maru Ghar. The date and time will be informed later.
