On 24th January 2023, Inner Wheel Club of Borivli actively participated in celebrating National Girl Child Day, a day dedicated to promoting the rights, education, health, and nutrition of girls across India.
Project 1 – Kanya Shala:
To mark this occasion, the club visited Kanya Shala, where 21 school-going girls from remote areas were provided with fruit juices and choco pies to support their nutrition and well-being. This initiative was aimed at emphasizing the importance of healthy nutrition for young girls.
Project 2 – Maru Ghar:
As part of the club’s ongoing projects, groceries were donated at Maru Ghar, a senior citizens’ home. Additionally, utensils were donated, generously sponsored by club ISO Tejal Mehta’s father, ensuring that the residents have necessary daily-use items.
These initiatives reflect the commitment of Inner Wheel Club of Borivli to support both education and community welfare, promoting social responsibility and care for the underprivileged.
