The first day of the Inner Wheel District 314 activities commenced on an auspicious note with the blessings of Sai Baba, marking a spiritually uplifting beginning to the new Inner Wheel year. The ceremony was gracefully led by President Jigna Mistry, Immediate Past President Hetal Pathak, Secretary Jaynisha Sampat, and Treasurer Sonal Davda. The traditional collar exchange ceremony between the Immediate Past President and the Incoming President symbolized continuity, leadership, and unity.

The day beautifully echoed the thought:
“If you want to be a rainbow, you have to deal with the rain.”
Despite heavy monsoon rainfall, the spirit of service remained strong as the District Inner Wheel Tree Plantation Project was successfully carried out at the Inner Wheel Forest. More than 60 Inner Wheel Club members from all clubs of District 314 actively participated in this green initiative. The event was graced by District Chairman Mita Sheth, other district dignitaries, and the district’s own ISO Mona Gyani along with Zonal Coordinator Sonal Chandarana. Tree plantation was done zone-wise, and Zone-3 proudly sponsored the maximum number of trees, reinforcing the district’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Continuing the chain of compassion, groceries were distributed to Maru Ghar, sponsored by the Inner Wheel Club of Borivli. The project was attended by President, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President Bhavana Kapadia, and IWCB members Asha Sanghavi, Renjini, Ruma Desai, and Jayshree Masali. The initiative was further supported by members from the Rotary Club of Borivli, including Rtn. Sanjay Mistry, Rtn. Harish Chandarana, Rtn. Harish Davda, and Rtn. Dinesh Rege, highlighting the strong bond between Inner Wheel and Rotary.

Education support remained a priority as notebooks were distributed to 9th and 10th standard students at Sakharam Tare School, Dahisar, generously sponsored by Mona Joshi. The smiles of the students reflected the impact of this thoughtful gesture.

Adding to civic responsibility, the club donated one big and four small dustbins at the Magathane Registration Office in the presence of Registrar Ms. Vishaka Pawar and Sub-Registrar Mr. Sanjay Wankhade, contributing towards cleanliness and public convenience.

The first day of Inner Wheel District 314 truly set a powerful tone—blending spirituality, leadership, environmental care, education, social welfare, and civic duty—demonstrating that service continues with strength, unity, and compassion, rain or shine.
